If you have previously downloaded these files and are having trouble with the panel the following files will fix this problem

The current installers are fully patched.

The Panel fix files need to be extracted to the schmittfire panel folders. Allow overwrites. The Fs2002 compass fix file is to be extracted to the fs2002 gauges folder.

FS2004 Panel fix.zip

FS2002 Panel fix.zip

FS2002 Compass fix.zip

Please ensure that you have all the correct stock gauges installed in your simulator ( Fs2004 and FS2002 ) to ensure that the panels work correctly.

The Aeroplaneheaven rendition of the captured hybrid aircraft EN 830 NX-X.

The unusual hybrid aircraft that used a DB 605A-1 engine ( as found in the Messerchmitt BF 109 ) and the main airframe of a MK Vb Supermarine Spitfire. In late 1942 the MKV b aircraft crash landed in Jersey (Channel Islands ) and the aircraft was taken to a testing area within Germany. A suggestion was made that it should be fitted with a Daimler-Benz engine to more adequately gauge the performance against the BF-109. It is at this point that the Aircraft was transported to the Daimler Benz factory. It was found after trying a number of different front ends , that the BF 110 cowlong was a very good fit to the spitifre's corsssection and a new support was made up and the Damiler-Benz engine of the BF109 was fitted.

The addtion of the more powerful engine also added to the operating height of the aircraft as well as the manoueverability of the aircraft. With the strengths of the Spitfire married to the strengths of the BF109 this hybrid aircraft would have made a formidable foe. As it turns out the aircraft was destoryed along with a number of other aircraft during an American bombing raid during August 1944.

What might have been.

Some notes on the aircraft.

Because of the slightly longer nose and the heavier front end you will need to trim out the aircraft a little more than you would normally need to on a "regulation" spitfire.

• The door to the aircraft is opened by the wingfold key ( CTRL + SHIFT + W ) in Fs2004 and Fs2002. In CFS3 the door is opened by the bomb bay key.

• The historical version was not armed in any way. The CFS3 version has the following armament

- 2 x 20mm MkII Hispanos
- 4 x 303cal Brownings
- 2 x 13mm MG131 machine guns
- 1 x 20mm MG151 gun

Be careful up there.

The Sopwith Bee was a composite airframe, assembled primarily from components taken from the Sopwith ‘Pup’ and ‘Sparrow’ designs. The ‘one-off’ Bee was built in 1916, as a personal runabout and aerobatic demonstration aircraft for Harry Hawker who was then Sopwith’s chief test pilot.

The following FSx file has been converted to run in FSX. The gauges being FS2004/2002 specification will need to be allowed to run if you wish to have a working cockpit.

Please ensure that you set the tailhook to a key( we use capslock) in your assignments in the simulator settings

The Seafire
The Seafire was a navalised version of the Supermarine Spitfire.

In late 1941, a Spifire Vb was fitted with a temporary arrestor hook for landing trials aboard an aircraft carrier. Initially more difficult to operate than the Sea Hurricanes, the Seafire concept was eventually improved and refined to become an effective weapon for the Royal Navy, especially in the Mediterranean and Pacific theatres. Much skill was needed, however, on landing with the narrow gate undercarriage and comparatively weak landing gear of the Spitifre design. Undercarriage legs were very prone to collapsing on a hard landings and keeping the Seafire straight on deck was a constant challenge.

In this pack:
- 6 different paint schemes.
- Custom sound pack.
- Illustrated manual.
- Custom effect pack.

Notes:
After installation you will find the aircraft under the Westland aircraft company ( LIII ) and the Cunliffe-Owen aircraft company ( MKIIC and LIII ) in the aircraft selection window. Pushing the smoke system key ( default assignment is ' I ' ) will fire up the exhaust effects. You will also need to set the tailhook extend/retract command in the key assignments section of Flight simulator 2004/2002.
